VAR LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS
The Vermont REALTORS® Leadership Scholarship supports Vermont Realtors® who want to strengthen their leadership skills and become more involved at the local, state, or national level. This program helps offset the financial cost of attending events or educational opportunities that foster professional growth and leadership development.
Multiple scholarships are available, with awards of up to $2,500.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a current Vermont REALTORS® member for at least two years
- Must be in good standing with the National Association of REALTORS®
REVIEW PROCESS
Applications are reviewed by the Member Engagement Committee, which meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Following the initial review, a committee member will contact the applicant’s references using a standard set of questions.
Once reference checks are complete, the committee will make a final decision and notify the applicant. Scholarship awards are also reported to the Board of Directors at its next meeting.
Please allow up to eight weeks for the review and approval process.
Scholarship funds are provided as a reimbursement after the approved leadership event or educational program has been completed and all required documentation has been submitted.
- Confirmation of attendance at the approved event or program
- Receipts for eligible travel and meal expenses, if applicable
- A brief report reflecting on the experience and key takeaways. The report will be shared with local and state Boards of Directors, and a template will be provided.
