Speaking Up for Real Estate

The 2026 VAR Leadership Academy continued its leadership training journey on Sept. 15 with a hands-on session focused on one of the most important skills for association leaders: communicating with confidence and representing the REALTOR® voice effectively.

Led by Nicole Junas Ravlin from Junapr, the spokesperson training helped Leadership Academy participants strengthen their skills for media interviews, public speaking, and other situations where they may be called upon to represent VAR and the real estate profession.

Participants learned how to stay on message, communicate clearly, handle challenging questions and speak confidently about the issues that matter to Vermont REALTORS®, property owners and communities.

The session was part of VAR’s inaugural Leadership Academy, a six-session program designed to develop future association leaders, strengthen leadership skills and prepare participants to make an impact within VAR and the REALTOR® organization.
