The Vermont Association of REALTORS (VAR) is a recognized advocacy voice in Vermont’s State House. The VAR Government Affairs Committee (GAC) meets weekly (via conference call) with the association’s Government Affairs Director to discuss and monitor active legislative issues. Each local Board of REALTORS in Vermont is represented on the VAR Government Affairs Committee. This representation helps ensure that VAR members have a voice in the legislative process. Representatives on the GAC are appointed by each local Board.
