Municipal water and wastewater systems are a fundamental element needed to encourage new housing in downtowns, village centers and neighborhoods. Smart growth and infill development are dependent on these services.
VAR POSITION
VAR encourages municipalities to seek state and federal funds to improve and expand their municipal systems. In addition, the association encourages policies that support the use of municipal bonding for wastewater improvements.
