Vermont Shoreland Protection Act – ZOOM – 2 hours of CE

Course description:

This workshop will enable Realtors to assist shore land property owners in making decisions about transactions and development on land adjacent to Vermont lakes.

The Shoreland Protection Act, passed in 2014, established guidelines for the management of shore land in order to protect water quality, aquatic habitat, and shoreline stability. This workshop highlights the Act’s requirements as well as the basis in natural science for the new rules. Research on erosion risk reduction, property value preservation, and water quality improvement as the result of revegetation of shore land areas will be shared.
